My own Poem(Back in Primary school)

I could still remember
My days in primary school...

Everyday, there will be 4 bells ringing
Before school ends

The first bell rings everyone is in class
The second bell rings everyone is in the canteen
The third bell rings everyone is back in class
The last bell rings everyone is at home

Ah!How I wish i could listen
To these bells ringing
Ah!How I wish I could
Be back in Primary school

Favourite poem

If You Forget Me

I want you to know
one thing.

You know how this is:
if I look
at the crystal moon, at the red branch
of the slow autumn at my window,
if I touch
near the fire
the impalpable ash
or the wrinkled body of the log,
everything carries me to you,
as if everything that exists,
aromas, light, metals,
were little boats
that sail
toward those isles of yours that wait for me.

Well, now,
if little by little you stop loving me
I shall stop loving you little by little.

If suddenly
you forget me
do not look for me,
for I shall already have forgotten you.

If you think it long and mad,
the wind of banners
that passes through my life,
and you decide
to leave me at the shore
of the heart where I have roots,
remember
that on that day,
at that hour,
I shall lift my arms
and my roots will set off
to seek another land.

But
if each day,
each hour,
you feel that you are destined for me
with implacable sweetness,
if each day a flower
climbs up to your lips to seek me,
ah my love, ah my own,
in me all that fire is repeated,
in me nothing is extinguished or forgotten,
my love feeds on your love, beloved,
and as long as you live it will be in your arms
without leaving mine

My Reflection

In this poem, a lot of figurative languages has been used.
Hyperbole: "in me ......""in me nothing is ""ah my love""ah my own"
Personification: "and my roots will set off"
Metaphor:of the heart where I have roots
Simile:none
Symbolism:"you forget me"
"do not look for me"
"for I shall already have forgotten you"

In my opinion, I like this poem as it shows the how she would react if someone forgets her like for example this line"If suddenly, you forget me,do not look for me,for I shall already have forgotten you." and this line "Well, now,if little by little you stop loving me, I shall stop loving you little by little."The poem also uses alot of figurative language. Therefore, this is why I enjoyed this poem so much

Trip to Little India

Overall,I feel that the food was a little spicy.I enjoyed the speech given by the famous ,Chef Devagi Sanmugam, who wrote 17 recipe book. She said that Indians eat food with their right hand and use their left hand to do chores, etc.I enjoyed the rice, chicken and the chapatti. If I have another chance to go back to "The Spice Queen" , I would definitely order the same food to eat.Now i deffinitely apprciate the Indian culture. My favourite dish is the rice as it had alot of different spices in it.

Village by the sea presentation.

I am presenting on Mr de silva. As you know from the book, Mr de silva helped Lila as he brought Lila's ill mother to the hospital and paid all the medicine bill.He also helped Hari as he gave Hari his address to become a car cleaner if he came to Bombay. He also told Hari to bring his father to him so that he could give Hari;d father a job. However,Mr de silva despise some of the drunken villages like Hari's father as he think that these people are hopeless, useless and cannot earn a living to support their family.Lastly, Mr de Silva is very rich.He have many servants,a cook and an ayah to wash all his family's clothes. He lives in Mon Repos, a big and beatiful bungalow.
